Ready, Redmayne, Fire! Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) prepares to cast a spell
in the first Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them…This scene captures the moment
after Scamander’s beasts have broken free — some of them, as imagined by screenwriter J.K. Rowling, are
rather large. “That’s Newt covering up his tracks,” says director David Yates. “Eddie’s real trick is his ability
to create a knotty character that you nonetheless feel for and pull for.”

There is no official Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them stand alone panel, it has been rolled into the Warner Brothers movie slate panel, which will also include details on the WB’s other big movies. All the Potter related events are happening on Saturday and Sunday.
- Warner Brothers Studio Panel, Hall H on Saturday July 23rd, from 11:30am-1:30pm PST.
Director David Yates with stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller and Colin Farrell from “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Clips will be shown, and right now we’re running on hope that one of them will be a full on trailer released to the public.

Wednesday night, movie-goers in Chicago including , Illinois, were fortunate enough to experience the first test screening of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which was held at the Regal Cinemas City North Stadium 14 theater. (full)

What they could reveal from the screen test version is this:
  • It is more adult-oriented and interesting to see how adult wizards exist and live in society.
  • That said, this may also be the funniest movie of all the wizarding world films. The humor worked for the most part, and the audience really enjoyed most of the jokes. There may have even been some hidden adult jokes.
  • The wizarding world in the United States is much stricter and scarier than Britain’s wizarding world.
  • Beasts will not disappoint, but they do not steal the show.
  • Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) and Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein) steal the movie with brilliant performances.
  • It was HIGHLY recommended that viewers know the wizarding world laws and magical nuances before seeing this film. Muggles (sorry… “No-Maj”) will not get any explanations to the magical world.
  • Newt is fighting a good fight, which makes the fans appreciate the magical beasts.
  • Finally, our team was not disappointed and said the fans should look forward to a fantastic new film this fall.
