Screenplay publication and event in Japan - Fantastic Beasts news

A new book from J.K. Rowling is always a good reason to celebrate. But this year will mark the first time the author has published a screenplay, which you’ll be able to buy as a print edition from Little, Brown (UK) or Scholastic (US and Canada),
or as an eBook right here on Pottermore.
The screenplay will be published on 19 November - hot on the heels of the movie's release on 18 November.
Here’s where you can pre-order your copy of J.K. Rowling’s first ever screenplay:
eBooks
Within the UK: Amazon - iBooks - Google - Kobo
Within the US: Amazon - iBooks - Barnes & Noble - Google - Kobo
And if you prefer a hard copy, you can also pre-order from Amazon UK, Amazon US, Waterstones and Barnes & Noble as well as all other good print retailers.

AwardsCircuit:
There’s already awards buzz for Fantastic Beasts. The “three reasons to take this seriously”:
First is that David Yates, ostensibly the most trusted Potter interpreter, is helming the direction after directing the last four Harry Potter films. Next is that J.K. Rowling, you know, author of a generation, is penning the screenplay based on her 2001 textbook of the same name designed to be one of Harry’s required reading for Hogwarts. Then you have Oscar-magnet Eddie Redmayne as lead character Newt Scamander. (via)

Pottermore shared an interview with “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” production designer, Stuart Craig. In the interview, Craig discussed the creation of MACUSA for “Fantastic Beasts”, which we have seen featured in the recently released trailer. (x)

Exclusive interview with Eddie Redmayne at the MTV Movie Awards
‘Each time you put a little thing like that out into the world, it feels nerve-wracking,’ he says, in his reverent British half-whisper. ‘The weird thing about film-making is that you make films as a team and together, you care about every bit that goes out. You care what people think. I care.’
Eddie blinks a couple of times, earnestly, and it’s clear that he does. He’s the kind of actor who keeps a piece of his characters in his heart. He adores Newt Scamander especially, you can tell. And after this trailer, we all know the British magizoologist a little better. We know that Newt was expelled from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We know that he carries more than a Hufflepuff scarf in that suitcase. And we know that Albus Dumbledore argued against his expulsion.
‘When I first heard the notion of this film and that it was set in a totally different time period [to Harry Potter] the question for me was, would those worlds ever collide? When I read the script, the delicacy with which J.K. Rowling weaves the names and the characters of a different generation to the one we know and love excited me. It still does.’
As for Newt’s expulsion and the reason he’s arrived in New York City? ‘I can say nothing further about that,’ Eddie says, holding tight onto the secret.
‘But Newt is much better at communicating with beasts and spending time with his creatures than perhaps he is with human interaction. On the journey of this film, he begins to find connections with people but he’s not exactly a people-pleaser. What I love about Newt Scamander is that he’s his own person. He’s a passionate man and he’ll do anything for those beasts.’
Speaking of beasts, we see two in the trailer: the Swooping Evil and the Niffler...

For the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death - Twelfth Night gifs

To celebrate the great playwright I made new gifs from the video can be found on Youtube (from the program
"In Search of Shakespeare" Ep.3.). Eddie Redmayne made his professional stage debut as Viola in the 400th anniversary Globe Theatre production of Twelfth Night in 2002.

VIOLA: It gives a very echo to the seat Where Love is throned.
DUKE ORSINO: Thou dost speak masterly: My life upon't, young though thou art, thine eye Hath stay'd upon some favour that it loves: Hath it not, boy?
VIOLA: A little, by your favour.
DUKE ORSINO: What kind of woman is't?
VIOLA: Of your complexion.
DUKE ORSINO: She is not worth thee, then. What years, i' faith?
VIOLA: About your years, my lord.

Fantastic Beasts cast CinemaCon 2016 redcarpet interviews

Yahoo:
...Fogler said he didn’t communicate with any of the series’ original cast, since Fantastic Beasts takes place 70 years before the events of Potter; but he did get up-close-and-personal with their shared universe’s puppet master, author J.K. Rowling, who penned her first original screenplay for the film and was actively involved on set. “She told us about our characters, and the futures of our characters, and she really was great,” Fogler said. “She’s so passionate about it. She was really excited to share with us. She’s excited to share it with the world.”

Dan Fogler spoke to press at CinemaCon earlier this month, and also revealed how his character
Jacob meets Newt and their budding relationship. Do note that the conversation does reveal
a lot of spoilers for the start of the movie, so fair warning to avoid spoilers. (x) (x)

Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler redcarpet interviews
In a CinemaCon interview video, that was removed from Youtube since, Dan Fogler talked about
how his character Jacob met Newt. He confirmed what I already guessed since I saw the featurette.

Link: Pottermore:
...They make all sorts of fake things that look like reality: bookcases that won’t crush Eddie Redmayne, bricks that won’t graze Colin Farrell’s face and furniture that won’t injure Dan Fogler.
It’s obvious, when you think about it. Of course there are stunt objects. They’re not going to smash real china in the general vicinity of Ezra Miller’s real face. But have you ever stopped to think about it, till now?

“This is a different level of involvement. I feel very very close to this project,” author J.K. Rowling said of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the spinoff the studio will be offering this Thanksgiving....
Although none of the much-anticipated beasts were revealed to the CinemaCon audience, there were plenty of familiar Rowling elements: plates, flatware and other inanimate objects come to life and take flight. Characters appear and disappear in wizardly flashes. And Redmayne, as Scamander, makes an exit via his briefcase — simply stepping in, feet first, before fading away. Redmayne and Colin Farrell took the stage to pitch the film, along with Dan Folger (Jacob Kowalski) and Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein). Farrell soon announced that the audience had heard enough yammering from actors and team “Beasts” simply went to the videotape....

Eddie Redmayne discusses his upcoming “Harry Potter” prequel, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to
Find Them.” Plus, find out if he’s always been a fan of the franchise!

The Warner Bros. presentation on April 12th at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas gave a ‘big picture’ on what to expect in Summer 2016, and of course the biggest thing attendees wanted to hear about was Fantastic Beasts. Therefore, it was only fitting that Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol and Colin Farrell hit the stage to rile up the crowd and promote the film. (x)

New Fantastic Beasts trailer - video, screenshots

“You’re an interesting man, Mr. Scamander. Just like your suitcase, I think there’s much more to you
than meets the eye. Kicked out of Hogwarts, endangering human life with a beast. Yet one of your
teachers argued strongly against your expulsion. I wonder… what makes Albus Dumbledore so
fond of you?” — Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

Eddie Redmayne presented the new trailer at the MTV Movie Awards this weekend
I thought I cannot be more excited for the film - I was wrong.
