Being slapped on screen

It's incredibly difficult being slapped on screen. It's really difficult, because when the first time it happens it's a
complete shock you get. You try not to anticipate it, but in lots of takes you see me doing this (bottom left) just
before it's comming... /Eddie Redmayne/

Gunman Eddie - photos and gifs from Eddie's films

Eddie Redmayne as Thomas Babbington, holds a gun to Queen Elizabeth I. (Cate Blanchette)
in the film "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" .

The use of guns leads to tragic murders and accidents in the movies "Like Minds" and "Hick".

In "Powder Blue" Charlie (Forest Whitacker) offers money and hold out his gun,
because he wants Qwerty to shoot him.

In "Birdsong" Eddie as Stephen Wraysford - an English soldier - fights
in the horrific trenches of northern France in the First World War.

And of course, in "Les Miserables" the revolutionaries are fighting for their rights with weapons.

Gifs are from my favorite tumblr blogs

TIFF 2011 video interview - tribute.ca

Eddie Redmayne said in this interview: "They were crazy enough to offer me this part, playing a texan - sort of cowboy - meth addict James Dean wannabe."
He talked about his film "Hick", Chloe Moretz and his character. He also talked about his singing voice and singing Rihanna, Britney Spears and Taylor Swift songs in the truck with Chloe. After that  the reporter asked him about the Tony Award ceremony and in the end of the interview he talked about his film "My Week with Marilyn".

Check this out!

Does anyone know, why he often puts up his foot in the armchair?

Andrea Portes (the author of the book) about Eddie: ...watching Eddie Redmayne take after take was kind of a master class in acting. It was like, “Wow. Which one of those brilliant takes are you going to choose, Derick?” ( x )
