Eddie Redmayne About his dream leading lady and man: Natalie Portman I think can be absolutely formidable.
I worked with her on The Other Boleyn Girl. One of my favourite films is Leon and she blew my mind with that. She's a wonderful person as well, so I'd love to work with her again. There are a load of young British actors like Andrew Garfield, Ben Whishaw, Charlie Cox and Tom Sturridge. There are a few of us who are up for the same sort of stuff.
A few of us have discussed how it would be amazing to all work together. ( x )

Ever wondered how some musicals make it on to the London stage? In our latest short film Life's A Pitch, Eddie Redmayne, Jane Horrocks, Rory Kinnear and Hattie Morahan pitch some awfully unusual musical ideas to our very own artistic director, David Lan.
Written by The Thick of It's Olivia Poulet, directed by Natalie Abrahami and featuring some very special Young Vic supporters.

He looked so good when this was filmed (I think this summer), he wasn't as thin as now. I haven't seen him in a comedic piece yet. He's making fun at himself, and he pulls it off so well. In the end when he's trying not to laugh he's so cute.

My Week with Marilyn - filmography

In 1956, at the height of her career, Marilyn Monroe went to England to make a film with Sir Laurence Olivier. While there she met a young man named Colin Clark, who wrote a diary about the making of the film. This is their true story.

My Week with Marilyn is a 2011 British drama
film directed by Simon Curtis and written by
Adrian Hodges. It stars Michelle Williams,
Kenneth Branagh, Eddie Redmayne,Dominic Cooper, 
Julia Ormond, Emma Watson and Judi Dench. 
Based on two books by Colin Clark, it depicts the
making of the 1957 film The Prince and the Showgirl,
which starred Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier. 
The film focuses on the week in which Monroe spent
time being escorted around London by Clark, after
her husband, Arthur Miller, had left the country.

"I kind of loved doing the Marilyn stuff set in the ’50s. One of the great experiences was shooting in Pinewood Studios. Michelle Williams was in Marilyn Monroe’s dressing room, and we were shooting in the studio where The Prince and the Showgirl was shot. In the studios next door, you had [the production of the fourth] Pirates of the Caribbean, and you wandered down this long corridor, and you would literally see a dismembered pirate come out of one door and some turn-of-the-century French something-or-other come out of another. There was an eclectic romance in shooting there."...
"I’m getting better, but I remain one of the most ill-educated filmgoers in the world, so it was a wonderful excuse to watch a lot of Marilyn Monroe movies. What’s amazing is this whole movie is about how she was going through this incredibly desperate, dark time, and was a nightmare from all accounts—and yet when you watch The Prince and the Showgirl, she has this lightness and frivolity and this kind of sexy effortlessness."
