This is an enjoyable digest of items from the behind-the-scenes Fantastic Beasts books. Eddie’s contribution is my favorite one — and one of the most touching moments of the film for me. It really speaks to his sensitive nature (bespokeredmayne)

“A lot of the creative elements of the film were up to the principal cast. There were small but important ideas, like Eddie Redmayne choosing his character’s wand. And then there are some of the more important details.

“Redmayne, for example, also came up with the idea of using a spell that turned the wizards’ wands into umbrellas. It’s an elegant visual idea, and it’s key in one of the most beautiful scenes in the film, when Queenie shields Jacob from the rain that would wash away his memories.”

Eddie out and about in Stone on Wednesday

Fleur Tea Rooms: My first customer of the night ❤ (via bespokeredmayne)

Eddie Redmayne visited the Christmas market in Stone on Wednesday and popped in the local tee room.

This is not the first time, Eddie and Hannah went for a stroll with Iris in Stone High Street in June.
That was the first time they were spotted with the baby, after she was born on 15th June.

A Look Behind The Magic - behind the scenes of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

What was important for me was that Newt has a different relationship with them, but also that they have a relationship with each other. […] So, for example, Pickett, who’s one of my favorite characters, who’s a little stick man. He has attachment issues, so, he always has to sort of be in my pocket. And when he comes up on to the shoulder, I started by having a puppeteer come with literally a finger puppet, feeling what that was like. And then they had a long, sort of, pole with Pickett, and made out of wire on the end and then, eventually, when we actually film he’s not there and but by now, you have a sense of him and you can play with him. This time instead of a trio, I’ve got a foursome. There is a friendship that develops, that
is the most important thing in the movie, that’s what carries you on. (J.K. Rowling)
