The third bedtime storie - Big Little Hippo by Valery Gorbachev

Eddie Redmayne said in an interview earlier, that he recorded 3 bedtime stories for CBeebies in December. The firs story aired on Christmas Day, the second one at the end of January, and the last one today. If you have access to BBC iPlayer, you can watch it here. I saw the live stream, and Eddie was cute, phenomenal, as always.

He read a story about a Little Hippo, who's the youngest in his family . . . and the smallest. Smaller than his parents and siblings. Smaller than his friends, too, from old Crocodile to giant Elephant. And even though everyone promises he’ll grow, Little Hippo doesn’t want
to wait. He wants to be big RIGHT NOW! But when he helps a creature even tinier than himself, Little Hippo learns that it’s the size of his heart that counts most of all.

Eddie Redmayne gave a reading at Prof Hawking's funeral,
with Ecclesiastes 3.1-11 as the chosen text:
Everything Has Its Time
1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
The God-Given Task
9 What gain has the worker from his toil?
10 I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with.
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot bfind out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

Like Minds production stills by Sam Oster (2004)

Sam Oster was the production photographer of the movie, filmed partly in Australia in 2004-2005.
She published photos of Eddie Redmayne on her website as part of her portfolio.
Silvertrace provides unique photography services across South Australia, Australia.

@silvertracer on IG (14.Jan.2015): My headshot shoot of acclaimed actor Eddie Redmayne shot
on B&W film in 2004. I was the stills photographer on a film he did with Toni Collette and on the
day we shot this he had a black eye from one of the scenes. We didn't have time to get him out
of makeup and wardrobe for these shots so we just went with it. Lovely guy, extremely talented
and genuine. He just won a Golden Globe award for 'The Theory of Everything". Wow.
