London Evening Standard:
The Oscar-winning Londoner, 34, hopped on a train to Victoria station with his wife Hannah Bagshawe
yesterday evening. Dressed in a casual jumper, skinny black jeans and Asics trainers, the Hollywood
star blended in with other passengers.
An onlooker said: “No-one could quite believe it was him so no-one bothered him at all. Everyone
was just getting on with their commute as normal. They just blended in like regular commuters.”
A source close to Redmayne said: “He has lived in the city for years and is a proud Londoner.
He has always taken the Tube and won’t let Oscars or any of his success get in the way of that.”
In an interview last year, the star, who is about to appear as Newt Scamander in JK Rowling’s
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, said: “I get stopped occasionally, but I still go on the Tube.”
