I went to my local cinema's first screening on Thursday
and I had a great time. I can't wait to see it again.
I will watch the movie in 4DX tomorrow.
This experience will be a first for me, I'm very excited.

Eddie's visit to Tokyo promoting The Secrets of Dumbledore

 

Eddie arrived in Japan on Tuesday 12th April 2022 to promote
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. (source)

Eddie and Jessica Williams attended a Fantastic Beasts fan event in Tokyo Wednesday.


Newt Scamander's Japanese voice Mamoru Miyano joined them on stage.

They brought the magic, and some swivel moves, to the special event.


They were presented with a happy coat. Eddie has a collection of them already.

Private Omega event in Tokyo






Ambassador Eddie Redmayne, who is visiting Japan for the promotion of
Fantastic Beasts, came to an OMEGA event held somewhere in Tokyo ❱

Best Actor in a Musical!!! Olivier Awards 2022

The winner of the award for Best Actor in a Musical is:
Eddie Redmayne for Cabaret

Cabaret in the Kit Kat Club was up for 11 awards and won 7.

“The revival of Kander and Ebb musical Cabaret won the most of the night, scooping
an impressive seven awards. The production won Magic Radio Best Musical Revival
as well as picking up awards for Nick Lidster’s sound design, Rebecca Frecknall’s
direction, and all four musical acting categories, with wins for Jessie Buckley,
Elliot Levey, Liza Sadovy, and Eddie Redmayne. “ (officiallondontheatre.com)


Accepting his award, Redmayne said: “This is the dream. For me, this is the one.
“This was the part that I played when I was a kid in school. It was the thing that
got my passion for theatre really fuelled.”
The actor also paid tribute to his co-star Buckley, noting he would never have
“gotten on this ride” if she had not agreed to do it with him.
He told PA: “Every night, getting to introduce her singing Cabaret, and then getting
to peek through the curtain and watch her roar that track was the stuff that dreams
are made of. You are one of the greats and thank you for that privilege.” (source)

Redmayne spoke of his “confidence crisis” during rehearsals, before acknowledging
how the show had long fueled his passion, noting that “this is the dream, this is the one,”
and the part he had played as a kid at school. (THR)

Eddie’s speech focused on a pep talk Cabaret swing Emily Benjamin gave to him
while he was having a crisis of confidence during rehearsals - up the swings! (x)
