The Guardian: UK cinema box office sees strongest first quarter since 2011
Hits such as Fifty Shades of Grey and The Theory of Everything led to more than 42m admissions
in the first three months of the year
The impressive number was inflated by the success of the erotic blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey,
which took £35m by the end of March. The biggest British hit of the period was the Oscar-winning
biopic The Theory of Everything, which took £21m.

Photos from Istanbul with Hannah, Jamie and fans

I thought Hannah went with him to Istanbul, but I couldn't find anything about this in the past two days. The London Evening Standard published an article today with an Eddie Redmayne interview and Soho House launch party photos. Here's a picture about them at last. (by Dave Benett) Paloma Faith kicks off the party at Soho House Istanbul launch, as Eddie Redmayne gets ready for first holiday since Oscars
Eddie Redmayne has admitted his Oscar success still “doesn’t feel real” as he enjoyed his first break since landing the award. The actor, 33, was speaking for the first time since being named best actor at the Academy Awards in February for his role as Professor Stephen Hawking in The Theory Of Everything.
Redmayne, who also won the Bafta and Golden Globe, said: “It’s my first break since the Oscars. I was shooting this new film The Danish Girl and I was rehearsing it before and during that period, and then went straight back to work the day after it ended.

“I just finished work [on The Danish Girl] about three days ago and it’s my first moments of freedom in a wee while — my first holiday since the awards season really.
“And it’s been pretty intense work. So literally it’s the first days of holiday and I feel pretty excited about it!
“I don’t think I’ll ever take it in. It was such an extraordinary ride. I think it’s very rare that you get the opportunity to play someone as extraordinary as Stephen, so I’m just grateful for the whole thing really, but no — it doesn’t feel real.”

The actor was at the star-studded launch of Soho House Istanbul, which saw the cream of British talent flown out to Turkey for an opulent weekend of celebrations.
Joined by his wife Hannah Bagshawe, he said he was using the break in Istanbul to ponder his next move.
“Because I’ve been doing this job I haven’t had the chance to notice if things have really changed for me yet,” he said. “This role and this sort of film is very intense so I tend not to open my ears and just focus on the task in hand — and as I say I’m taking a holiday now, we’ll see what happens on the other side.”

Guests at the launch included actors Jamie Dornan, Luke Evans and Douglas Booth as well as friends Daisy Lowe, Nick Grimshaw, designer Henry Holland and Pixie Geldof.
From the music world there was Eliza Doolittle, Professor Green and his wife Millie Mackintosh and Sophie Ellis-Bextor and husband Richard Jones.

Laura Bailey's Oscars 2015 photo diary

Laura Bailey is the partner of Eric Fellner, Working Title's co-chairman, one producer of several Eddie Redmayne films (Birdsong, Les Miserables, The Theory of Everything and The Danish Girl). She attended the Oscars as his date.
Laura made a photo diary of her whole Hollywood weekend: everything from her Charlotte Tilbury beauty situation and poolside lounge attire (“Toto, I have a feeling we aren’t in Kansas anymore”) to her CHANEL gown and moments with Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones and Rosamund Pike. ...Full diary here

 Hannah Redmayne, Eddie's dream girl.

Winners, Eddie and Common Into the night...
Common is this year's Golden Globe and Oscar winner for Best Original Song
'Glory' from 'Selma'

Note: When I learned from BespokeRedmayne that Laura Bailey is Eric Fellner's partner I decided to search photos of her, that's how I found this amazing photo diary. Thanks for the info!

Update April 19, 2015:

Eddie Redmayne said he was “very impressed by #SaintSophiaMuseum” since he studied history of art
at #TrinityCollegeCambridge. As for us, we were very much impressed by his super friendly and humble
character. It was a great honour to host a very young Oscar winner star here in our city!

Golden Globes photos from the gallery

Here are some of my favorites about Eddie Redmayne at the event. There are new pics among them too (via Hope).

According The Wrap Eddie's name came up in connection of Damien Chazelle’s musical “La La Land
('Whiplash' director wrote and direct the film for Lionsgate). Emma Stone is in negotiations to play the female lead. Miles Teller recently exited the project, prompting Chazelle to offer the lead to Eddie Redmayne the newly-minted Oscar winner.  Eddie has kept his schedule open as David Yates considers him for the role of Newt Scamander in WB’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” None of these confirmed yet.
Ryan Gosling is also rumored to be eyed for the male lead.
“La La Land” is a two-hander that follows a pair of dreamers — aspiring actress Mia, who’s lonely desperate to fit in, and cocky yet charismatic jazz pianist Sebastian — who fall in love in Los Angeles. However, the city that brought them together may tear them apart, as they soon discover that balancing love and art in such a cutthroat climate isn’t easy.

Elizabeth Banks won the MTV Movie Award for Best Onscreen Transformation. I think it's because the voters of this award prefers blockbusters to biopics. Although this award not as important as those that Eddie won, I'm a bit dissapointed, because this means his fanbase from this group of people not strong enough for the win.

Happy 25th Birthday Emma Watson!

Personal note: I'm sorry I post less recently, but I have a lot of work to do, so I can hardly find time for blogging. I have a big news too. My first grandson David was born on Friday night. Although the name selection isn't my merit, I like it.
