I thought Hannah went with him to Istanbul, but I couldn't find anything about this in the past two days. The London Evening Standard published an article today with an Eddie Redmayne interview and Soho House launch party photos. Here's a picture about them at last. (by Dave Benett)
Eddie Redmayne has admitted his Oscar success still “doesn’t feel real” as he enjoyed his first break since landing the award. The actor, 33, was speaking for the first time since being named best actor at the Academy Awards in February for his role as Professor Stephen Hawking in The Theory Of Everything.
Redmayne, who also won the Bafta and Golden Globe, said: “It’s my first break since the Oscars. I was shooting this new film The Danish Girl and I was rehearsing it before and during that period, and then went straight back to work the day after it ended.
“I just finished work [on The Danish Girl] about three days ago and it’s my first moments of freedom in a wee while — my first holiday since the awards season really.
“And it’s been pretty intense work. So literally it’s the first days of holiday and I feel pretty excited about it!
“I don’t think I’ll ever take it in. It was such an extraordinary ride. I think it’s very rare that you get the opportunity to play someone as extraordinary as Stephen, so I’m just grateful for the whole thing really, but no — it doesn’t feel real.”
The actor was at the star-studded launch of Soho House Istanbul, which saw the cream of British talent flown out to Turkey for an opulent weekend of celebrations.
Joined by his wife Hannah Bagshawe, he said he was using the break in Istanbul to ponder his next move.
“Because I’ve been doing this job I haven’t had the chance to notice if things have really changed for me yet,” he said. “This role and this sort of film is very intense so I tend not to open my ears and just focus on the task in hand — and as I say I’m taking a holiday now, we’ll see what happens on the other side.”
Guests at the launch included actors Jamie Dornan, Luke Evans and Douglas Booth as well as friends Daisy Lowe, Nick Grimshaw, designer Henry Holland and Pixie Geldof.
From the music world there was Eliza Doolittle, Professor Green and his wife Millie Mackintosh and Sophie Ellis-Bextor and husband Richard Jones.
