Rewatched The Other Boleyn Girl

Recently rewatched the movie on Prime Video. I didn't post much about
this film yet, so I decided to make a few gifs. Here's the first part.

There are so many amazing actors in this period drama. Mark Rylance,
Kristin Scott Thomas, Nathalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, Jim Sturgess,
Eric Bana, Benedict Cumberbatch, David Morrissey, and so on. (IMDB)

"...at the audition for The Other Boleyn Girl, they were like, “So Eddie, one last thing:
How’s your horse riding?” And I said, “Well, there’s a little story I should probably
tell you.” [Bailey laughs] And so they sent me off on a two-month training camp, and
I literally learned to horse ride. I basically did the whole thing in order to suppress
all my doubters." - Eddie Redmayne (Interview Magazine March 2008)

Mark Rylance portrays Sir Thomas Boleyn. He also worked with Eddie
in theater in 2002, he played Olivia in 'Twelfth Night', and I can't wait
to see them in their new film 'The Trial of the Chicago 7'. Eddie plays
Tom Hayden, Mark Rylance portrays defense lawyer William Kunstler.

Q.. What classic movie cast would you like to see singing?

In a Les Miserables interview Eddie Redmayne was asked about, what other classic
movie cast would he like to see stop what they’re doing and start singing?

“Do you know who’s got an incredibly husky and quite brilliant voice? I did a film
a few years ago with Scarlett Johansson, and I’ve had moments of karaoke with her.
And I think Tom Hiddleston has got a decent voice, has some serious pipes on him
as well. So maybe like The Avengers. I even hear Jeremy Renner may have like a
great singing voice. So, I mean, maybe The Avengers...” - Eddie Redmayne

My favorites are Robert Downey Jr.(Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow),
Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts).

The Other Boleyn Girl scene - Mary is invited by the King

In “The Other Boleyn Girl,” Redmayne said he wasn’t a natural fit for the
“dashing and big and strong” character of William Stafford, the husband
of Scarlett Johansson‘s Mary Boleyn. (via: The Wrap)
“I don’t know how I got cast, but it was the opportunity to work with Scarlett
and Natalie [Portman] and Mark [Rylance], so I definitely wasn’t going to say
no,” he said in a video interview with W magazine. “Everyone was looking
at me going, ‘Why did they cast him?” I have no idea! I have no idea why
they cast me, but I’m just going to sit here with my hat on and my big outfit.”

If you could be in any other period film, that’s already been made,
and you could be the star of it, what would you like to be in?

…I’m kind of into like nineteen twenties, thirties, the jazz period.
I’d love to get into a bit of that, you know ... Maybe a bit of prohibition
stuff and get the braces on, and pull them out, that would be ideal. (x)

Would you rather live in an English castle, or a penthouse?

Oh, I'm so embarrassed...penthouse. I's always been a bit of a fantasy.
One of those... Have you seen that film 'The Devil's Advocate'?
Amazing film! There's a skyscraper with just a pool of water. The entire
thing's like an infinity pool. It's kind of ...the Devil lives there in that film...

Just Jared: Scarlett Johansson Flaunts Post-Baby Body at First Official Appearance Since Rose's Birth
Scarlett Johansson shows off her amazing post-baby body while hosting a screening of The Theory of Everything at The Crosby Street Hotel on Monday (November 3) in New York City.
The 29-year-old actress was joined at the screening by the film’s star Eddie Redmayne.
This is the first official red carpet appearance for Scarlett since the birth of her baby girl Rose in September.

Monday night, the 29-year-old made her first official post-baby appearance in New York City where she hosted a private screening of The Theory of Everything for her friend Eddie Redmayne. If you can remember all the way back to 2008, the two were costars in The Other Boleyn Girl.

Falling for his leading Ladies - Scarlett, Michelle and Clémence

– he keeps falling for his leading ladies , says his father Richard Redmayne, the managing director of stockbroker Seymour Pierce. Following an interlude with Scarlett Johansson after meeting on the set of The Other Boleyn Girl, Redmayne Junior then had a moment with Michelle Williams while making My Week With Marilyn – although Clemence Poesy, Redmayne’s co-lead in his most recent project, the film adaptation of Birdsong, was apparently immune to his charms. (x) That was before he started dating Hannah in 2012.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON (x)

Eddie Redmayne quotes:
- Scarlett is incredibly instinctive, beautifully smart and grown up. I couldn’t believe she was younger than me!...
Scarlett was my wife so it was the high point of my career. (x)
- [On kissing Scarlett Johansson in The Other Boleyn Girl] Together we had lips bigger than Christendom.
We didn’t even need to stand in the same room.(x)
- [Tony Awards 2010] When she won that first prize [of the evening], I couldn’t have been more elated. Given her extraordinary fame and talent on screen, one would presume that her Broadway debut would be a walk in the park. But she and I have shared so much excitement on this journey, because for both of us, doing a play on Broadway was the stuff that dreams are made of. She came and saw Red and we went out for dinner, and even then we had to pinch ourselves. (x)

Marilyn (as Elsie) said in My Week with Marilyn:
“You know what’s going to happen?
I’m going to fall in love with you,
because I always, always do.”
Eddie Redmayne on 'real treat' working with Michelle Williams on 'My Week with Marilyn' (with video)
"I've never seen someone with the dedication and really, really specific work on all fronts ... With both her and Kenneth Branagh, it was a real treat to get to witness that."
Eddie Redmayne, Star Of 'My Week With Marilyn' On Sharing A Fantasy With Michelle Williams

..."She doesn't have the same insecurities as Marilyn, but all actors have something. There's that scene in the dressing room when Kenneth Branagh as Olivier is trying to work out what is wrong with her. I say 'maybe she's scared, sir' and he blasts 'we're all scared, that's what we do' and I think that's true. You'd be hard-pushed to find an actor without some sense of nervousness, because we're all being scrutinised, and we want so hard to get it right."
..."I remember one time, Michelle came out into the long corridor at Pinewood, tottering just like Marilyn,
and I just thought 'oh my god'."

Clemence Poesy says Eddie Redmayne is the ''loveliest guy''.
While the French actress refused to confirm reports she is dating her 'Birdsong' co-star, Clemence did admit they are close but says she felt sorry for him when they were filming because he ''was stuck'' with her.
She said: ''How could you not enjoy working with Eddie? He's the loveliest guy. I felt a bit sorry for him though as when
I arrived on set, they'd just finished the war scenes. All the lads had left and he was left with this French girl.''
'Birdsong' Eddie Redmayne Q&A
"...We went out one night early on and got pretty pissed together - we went through our disastrous moments in various love lives, and it was quite a good way of getting to trust each other! When you're that exposed, basically spending quite a lot of time half-naked on top of each other, you need to have some trust!"There's a supermodel behind you!
