Sunday afternoon signing in London supporting trans charities

Eddie's back from Shanghai. He spent some time on Sunday signing
'The Danish Girl' artworks soon to be auctioned off for charity.

Hannah Graf posted on Instagram: “ Afternoon with the very lovely
Eddie Redmayne, signing some of the stunning artwork from
@thedanishgirlfilm 😊 Soon to be auctioned off for some of the
charities of which @jake_graf5 and I are patrons!😊🏳️‍🌈

A fantastic ally and all round good guy. Thanks, Eddie! 😘”

Jake Graf posted on Instagram:  "I have known Eddie for several years and
was fortunate enough to work with him on @thedanishgirlfilm in 2015.😊
This guy is a true gent, an incredible actor, an ally and one of the
kindest people you could hope to meet. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ❤️ . .
Yesterday Hannah and I visited him and he signed several of the original
and unique paintings from the Danish Girl set. 😊 These will be donated to
several of the charities of which I am a patron, and auctioned to help LGBT
kids in schools, LGBTQ homeless youth, and trans children and young folk.

Eddie's video message from home for Mermaids kids

Eddie sent his love in a live message for Mermaid kids and patrons Hannah
and Jake Graf during the charity’s online fundraising event last Saturday.
You can watch his video message here
(the sound stutters a bit).

Eddie talked a bit about his time at home with his family.
that has been keeping them all brilliantly entertained.

Over 6,000 people joined Digifest 2020 on 4th April and raised money for Mermaids,
a Charity helping gender-diverse kids, young people, and their families.

Many people criticized Eddie's comment, that was posted on the official Twitter account for BBC Entertainment News Team: “It’s extraordinary how trans issues have come into the mainstream media since we made Danish Girl.”
Speaking to Buzzfeed he said: “I hope what I said was not misunderstood. In the four years since I started work on The Danish Girl, trans stories, lives and issues have burst into the mainstream media with people like Laverne Cox, Janet Mock, Mya Taylor, Rebecca Root, Jake Graf, Caitlyn Jenner and the countless others pushing the needle forward and making history on their own terms,”
Sad, that after his explanation people still didn't understand what he said - the author of the related article in the Evening Standard wrote: "The actor spaked a backlash after praising The Danish Girl" - I think it's obvious that Eddie talked about the other stories and issues, not about 'The Danish Girl'. He also talked about this at the press conference held before the Oscar nominees luncheon -  watch the video here (quote)
