“I heard stories. Dark stories. That in the years that followed Osmund’s heart turned
cold. That in the shadow of his grief he found a hate. And that in God’s name…
he took up the sword and vengeance became his creed… Some say he found the
witch…and that he tortured her and burned her. Others say it was never her…
it was only her guilt he saw in the eyes of the accused. I like to think that
he found peace… that he continued seeing beauty in the world… goodness.”
Eddie Redmayne found his casting as Dug in Early Man totally riveting. Nick Park
gave him the job off this film. "Firstly, what’s interesting is that every film you do,
you put everything into. So, weirdly those films that very few people have seen –
the fact that he’s even seen Black Death means a great deal! The other thing is
that it also makes total sense to me. What he’s looking for is so unique. I must go
and ask him what it was, though! My memory of that film was being in swamps
in Germany being beaten up by Sean Bean." (source: denofgeek.com)
