Eddie Redmayne, on the Palm Springs film festival red carpet, tells Popsugar
he had a “proper honeymoon” — the French Alps ski trip. (x) via (x) (x)
Deadline: “We went skiing in the Alps . Unfortunately there was no snow, just a lot of sunshine.
A few more freckles. It was just great being away from everything and being super relaxed.”

...Eddie Redmayne looked dapper on the red carpet with his stunning new bride at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. The star received the festival's highest honour after his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. London-born Eddie, 32 wore a swanky blue velvet jacket and ... Hannah Bagshawe looked amazing in a black skirt and sequined bodice.
(My note: Hannah is an antique dealer - Eddie confirmed at the end of this BBC radio interview from about 18:30)
Film festival boss Harold Matzner said before the ceremony:
"Eddie Redmayne has proven himself an actor poised for greatness....

... (Julianne) Moore was back, this time as a presenter, to honor Desert Palm Achievement Award (Male) recipient Eddie Redmayne, who was being celebrated for his work as Dr.Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.
She first worked with the young actor — and was instrumental in his casting — eight years ago in the indie Savage Grace, for which he thanked her profusely from the podium. The handsome and charming Brit had the audience wrapped around his finger — even Wild costars Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern, who appeared to be blushing and gushing over him like schoolgirls at their table — as he spoke self-deprecatingly about his performance, thanked the Hawkings for their trust and acknowledged his wife, whom he married only two weeks ago...

Deadline Hollywood:
Oscar Contenders Start The New Year On Campaign Trail At Palm Springs Film Festival
...Nevertheless this is a place where you can really get your campaign rolling. I recall last year’s PSIFF Actor winner, Matthew McConaughey really ignited the audience with his speech and set a tone that took him all the way to the Oscar. If anyone did that this year it was probably Redmayne, who hit all the right notes in a classy acceptance.
I would say the same for Benedict Cumberbatch, the appointed speaker for The Imitation Game cast....
...At the ridiculously crowded Parker Hotel after party Cumberbatch ... paid a high compliment to his friend and one-time The Other Boleyn Girl co-star Redmayne. “Eddie, I thought did such a beautiful speech and such a job of encompassing everything from the personal to the film to Stephen to the subject matter that when he was up there talking I felt my head exploding. There are just so many different ways to go with this.” he said. He chose the right one.
As did Redmayne who lavished praise on his presenter, and former Savage Grace co-star Julianne Moore who played his mother in the film about an incestuous relationship. At the Parker afterparty he still was talking about how great Moore was to work with and how she helped him get that early role as he had mentioned on stage earlier. ” In the end she fought for me in a way that had never been done for me before. And that was so lovely of her to do this tonight,” he said....
