who turned 56 today. His performance in the movie as Sir Laurence Olivier earned him a best
supporting actor Oscar nomination, one of five he got as an actor, director and screenwriter.
He was knighted in 2012 for services to drama and for his charity work in Northern Ireland.
In April 2013 he presented a honorary BAFTA for Queen Elizabeth II during a
Windsor Castle reception, where Eddie Reedmayne was among the guests too.
