Kelly & Michael: Eddie Redmayne Engaged

"Redmayne’s engaged. People were pretty upset. ‘You guys are monsters,’ Kelly said. ‘You’re supposed to say congratulations.’ They got engaged in Florence. It was really nerve-wracking. He had a ring made and was going to do it in the afternoon and they went to a museum in the morning. He decided not to take the ring because you had to go through security and he didn’t want to have to show the ring. He was really nervous. He botched it a little, but ‘hopefully it was hilarious in its botchedness.’ Well, she said yes, so he did something right."

Eddie Redmayne came by to talk to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about his movie The Theory of Everything, where he plays Stephen Hawking. Felicity Jones, who plays his wife Jane, already visited Kelly & Michael to talk about the movie, which is based on Jane’s book about their marriage. I think this movie looks amazing, so I was excited to hear more about it. Redmayne, of course, is known for My Week With Marilyn and Les Mis. He got a great reaction....
